Gallery Ark is showcasing mythological images by Indrani Duara

Indrani Duara is a versatile artist who has done seven solo shows and multi-media exhibitions on varied themes such as dreams, mother and child relationship, bulls, dance and mythology. The oil paintings on display at the current exhibition are made in mixed media on canvas.u00a0





The paintings on display depict Indian gods and goddesses from Hindu mythology. Duara admits that she loves to paint Indian mythological figures as they offer a lot of scope to experiment with themes and backgrounds.u00a0
There will be 41 paintings and 19 installations at Gallery Ark. The installations are made from coloured glass and aluminum folios.

Duara has also done paintings on archery and its role in Hindu mythology, epic battles and mother goddesses, which are some of her favouriteu00a0subjects.u00a0
