Chirag Paswan has been apparently booted out of a new film after his last project turned out to be a dud

Remember Chirag Paswan? Politician Ram Vilas Paswan’s son who made his Bollywood debut opposite Kangna Ranaut in Miley Na Miley Hum last year?

The actor was apparently considered for another project too. But now when the film goes on the floors, Chirag’s name has gone missing and instead Ashmit Patel features in the project.

Says our source, “When the film was initially planned the makers had thought of taking Chirag. But now they are having second thoughts and it is clear from the change in the cast.”

Adds the source, “As Chirag’s film did not do well, the makers were keen to rope in someone else. Also, they felt Ashmit suited the role better. They are in talks with him about the casting of the actress to be paired with him.”

However Chirag maintains, “I don’t know about this project and I was not considered for it. Anyway, I have decided not to take on any film. I only want to be part of either known banners or noted directors.” Presently in Delhi, the actor will shortly be in Mumbai to consider his next step.

More on the film
The film is a family drama set in Rajasthan. Aman Varma and Shakti Kapoor are on board while the female lead opposite Ashmit is yet to be ascertained. Buzz is that talks are on with Jennifer Winget, Shilpa Shinde, Ragini Khanna and Sara Khan for it.
