Andrew Stern, the developer of the Riverside Estate, said he would be delighted to have a road honouring the skier close to her home in the Killara region, east of Wodonga in Victoria.
"We were hoping to get a lot of street names out of the Winter Olympics and Britt's one we'd love to see. She's a local girl so it would be special," said Stern, whose complex has its streets named after other Australian Olympic gold medalists too. "We've named a few after swimmers with Stephanie Rice, Micheal Klim and Ian Thorpe, but we're trying to cover as many sports as possible," added Stern.
