Girish and The Chronicles

The band was formed in Gangtok, Sikkim in 2009 and is presently based in Bengaluru.

The four-member band is known for their electrifying live shows. Their music is highly influenced by Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Guns ‘n’ Roses.

In mid-2010, their single, Yesteryears, was nominated and awarded a Silver Trophy, in the Suncane Skale festival, Montenegro, Europe.

With a mixture of Power Ballads and Hard Rock/Classic Metal sound, they targetted fans striving to hear a sound that was closer to the 70s and 80s era, since there was hardly any band who would offer such a sound.

The band is excited to perform in the city. Pradhan says, “This is the first time that we will be visiting and performing in Pune. We have decided to play a lot of originals and some covers for the young audience. Some unreleased songs that we haven’t played anywhere else will be presented in tomorrow’s gig.”

Joshi recollects, “When I was in college, we used to participate in a lot of college music festivals through which we happened to form a band together. All of us are fans of Rock music and we got along really well which helped us forge a stronger relationship. Guns ‘n’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Brian Adams inspire us.”

He adds that they have been performing together for the last 8-9 years and are now on the verge of coming out with their first album. “We have worked hard on it and want every Hard Rock fan to listen to our music,” he concludes.
