Sachin Tendulkar included in Mumbai Ranji Trophy opener against Railways
Just like in the build-up to 2011 Test series in England, Sachin Tendulkar has created a buzz. Alastair Cook’s Englishmen will be in Mumbai next week and the one match they will follow closely as they play their second warm-up tie in Nerul, is the Mumbai vs Railways Ranji Trophy tie at the Wankhede Stadium where Tendulkar will be the star attraction among other internationals, Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan, Ramesh Powar, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane and Abhishek Nayar.

Tendulkar’s preparation for the 2011 Test series in England created some interest when the batting master trained with England spinner Monty Panesar. A section of the English media pounced on Panesar with one report headlined: ‘Fool Monty’. The Sikh spinner claimed Tendulkar’s wicket in the Nagpur Test of the 2005-06 series.
Agarkar will lead Mumbai in the November 2-5 game at the Wankhede Stadium. The side is coached by Sulakshan Kulkarni, who was part of Tendulkar’s Ranji Trophy winning squad in 1994-95.
Twenty seasons ago, Tendulkar was part of the Indian team which whitewashed England 3-0. India were led by Mohd Azharuddin.u00a0
