The majority of attendees wore black after a letter circulated inviting guests to do so in support of the 'Time's Up' initiative, and many sported pins as a sign of solidarity with the victims of sexual assault.

However, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge followed royal convention and went for a neutral option as she accompanied Prince William, who is president of BAFTA, to the ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Middleton, whose look was reminiscent of the inky-blue Jenny Packham gown she donned for the dinner in New York, finished her look with her Prada wavy cut-out suede heels and a Pretty Ballerinas clutch bag. The dress code black-out follows that of the Golden Globes in January and white roses for the Grammys.
