London: Thai Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwan has said that the identity of the perpetrators of Bangkok blast that killed 22 people and left 140 injured, is much clearer, adding that he could not reveal it at present.

According to the Guardian, he said that they already have the suspects and that there are not many people.

Authorities said that they were hunting a suspect who was seen on security camera footage near the scene of the blast.

Thai Prime minister Prayut Chan-ocha said that the suspect was believed to belong to an 'anti-government group based in Thailand's northeast'.

The government has blamed the attack on forces seeking to destroy its tourist economy.

The attack targeted a major tourist attraction, the Erawan Hindu shrine.
