The preparations leading up to the D-day have been simple. The city's mayor Anne Hidalgo will be the special guest for the evening who will be joined by the Indian Ambassador to France, Mohan Kumar. The security in the area is the usual and the Mayor's office is looking after the nitty-gritties of the event. Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and his dainty co-star Vaani Kapoor are thrilled about the special treatment.
Speaking about it to mid-day, Ranveer said, “Wow, this feels surreal. This is an Aditya Chopra film and we are having a big launch at Eiffel. It will take me some time to absorb what's actually going on. I am living the dream and I am loving every bit of it."
Vaani, who was last seen in Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), is feeling the butterflies in her stomach. “I am nervous, I am jittery, I am excited and I can’t wait for the world to see a glimpse of our Labour of love. This truly is the most historic thing in my life.”
Meanwhile, the Mayor's office has requested the production house for some lipsmacking Indian food. The menu comprises reshmi kebabs, seeks kebabs, chicken tikka, lentil puree, stuffed naan, fish Malabari and suji halwa.
A unit hand told mid-day, "The mayor loves Desi food. This event will be a big impetus for Bollywood and will mark the beginning of a great artistic collaboration hopefully."
Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor completed the shooting of 'Befikre' in just 50 days.
The Aditya Chopra-helmed film, which has been extensively shot in Paris, marks his come back to the director's chair after a gap of eight years.
'Befikre' is being termed as the new age representation of Yash Raj romance.
'Befikre' will hit the theatres on December 9.
