Big B, Salman to attend royal wedding of Udaipur

The creme de la creme of Bollywood are expected to attend the wedding of Lakshyaraj Singh of Mewar and Nivritti Kumari Singh Deo

Lakshyaraj Singh, Prince of Mewar, is all set to tie the knot today with Princess of Balangir Patna, Nivritti Kumari Singh Deo.



The couple got engaged on November 14 last year and will be married today in Bhubaneshwar, followed by a grand reception tomorrow.

The royal wedding will see who’s who of the country in attendance: right from heavyweight politicians to business tycoons and Bollywood celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Sources add that the reception will be dotted with various entertainment performances, including those by Kailash Kher and Prem Joshua. The reception will be followed by a grand celebration at Jag Mandir in Udaipur that will take place on January 28.

Here too a lot of Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend – including the likes of Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Rekha and Priyanka Chopra.

According to a source from Udaipur, the city palace has been lavishly decorated and suites at the city’s leading hotels have been reserved for VVIP guests. “A week from the function, the palace will be closed to all tourists,” says the source, adding that Prince Lakshyaraj has been gifted a Porsche (worth approximately Rs 4.5 crores) and a Harley Davidson motorcycle as part of the tilak ceremony.

Nivritti Kumari Singhdeo is a scion of the Patnagarh royal family that hails from Balangir district, Odisha.
