Washington D.C.: Bill Cosby is all set to take on his accusers in court, as he has counter sued seven of the women who have publicly accused him of sexual assault.
In a counter suit filed in federal court, the 78 year-old comedian alleged the women made "malicious, opportunistic, and false and defamatory accusations" against him, adding that the women have been engaged in a campaign to assassinate his reputation and character with their false accusations.E! Online reports.
The lawsuit further claimed that the women waited until after he had a sitcom deal in the works last year to come forward with their claims.
Three of the women listed in 'The Cosby Show' star's suit are Tamara Green, Therese Serignese and Linda Traitz'originally sued Cosby for defamation in Massachusetts in December 2014 and the remaining defendants, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie joined the suit earlier this year.
As per sources, Bill's new defamation action was a response to a competing lawsuit filed by the women that claims he defamed them by calling them liars last year.
