PM’s presser only to announce farewell: Arun Jaitley
PM Manmohan Singh’s press conference was only a ‘formality’ and a ‘farce’, and was held only to announce his farewell, BJP leader Arun Jaitley said.“In the press conference, he announced he will not be available for leadership after the 2014 general elections.

It was a press conference intended to announce his own farewell,” said Jaitley, the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha. “As a principal opposition party, we wish him all the best... but except for announcing that he was unavailable for future leadership, the rest of the press conference was intended to be a formality, and turned out to be a farce,” he said.

Rajnath Singh laughs off PM’s criticism of Narendra Modi
BJP on Friday said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s attack on their party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was ‘laughable’. “He (Manmohan Singh) said Narendra Modi becoming prime minister would be disastrous.

I want to say that Modi in his tenure has made Gujarat a model state,” said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh. “Such a comment on him (Modi) is laughable.” He added, “Whatever happened in 2002 is sad, but when the SIT (Special Investigation Team) and court have given him a clean chit, such a statement is unfortunate.”
