BMDF to reward minority students

The Bless Minorities Development Foundation (BMDF) is all set to award and reward top-ranking students from minority communities in the recently concluded SSC, HSC ICSE and CBSE exams.

This annual event recognises achievements of students by awarding them with cash prizes and gifts like laptops, tablets, trophies and certificates.

According to Bablu Aziz, president, BMDF and former Municipal Councilor, “It has been our endeavour to carry forth the vision of Rahul Gandhi, who believes that education is the fundamental right of every citizen of India.

This is the 12th consecutive year and in keeping with our motto ‘Committed to the Cause of Education’, we are holding a grand event to honour the hard work of students from minority communities.”

The Award function, scheduled to be held on July 6, 2013 at Bhaidas Hall, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai, will be graced by MP Gurudas Kamat as chief guest and Jagdish Tytler, CWC member and former MP, and Oscar Fernandes as special guests. Many Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend this event too.

The BMDF has formally invited entries from students to avail of the prizes to be won – 6 laptops to toppers in SSC and HSC, 15 tablets of Fun Books, 100 cash prizes and certificates, 100 trophies and certificates and 800 gifts and certificates.

All the students passing in 2013 from SSC, HSC, ICSE and CBSE are eligible to apply with a copy of their mark sheets. The forms can be filled on the spot at Horizon Travels, 9, Dheeraj Heritage, Milan Subway and SV Road junction, Santacruz (W), Mumbai - 54. The last date for submitting entries is June 30, 2013.
