Brazil's Marcelo out for three months

The Brazil Football Federation on Sunday released a statement suggesting Marcelo's injury fears are worrying

The Real Madrid defender fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during international duty and will be out of action for around three months, said the statement.

Marcelo suffered the injury during training with Brazil in Wroaclaw, Poland ahead of tonight’s friendly against Japan. He will now be returning to Madrid immediately where a decision on his treatment will be made soon, said Real Madrid.
