British actor Darren Tassell will play the role of Indian national team coach Stephen Constantine in a movie titled Barefoot Warriors that is expected to release later this year. Tassell revealed the news on a video he uploaded on Twitter recently. The focus of the film will be on India’s rapid rise under Constantine when the country leapfrogged almost 80 places in the FIFA rankings.
The movie, directed by former actor Kavi Raz, will also feature Indian actor Rajpal Yadav, who plays a supporting character. Constantine began his coaching career with India’s neighbours Nepal, before switching to the Indian team in 2002.

He remained in the sub-continent for three years before he left for English Club Millwall in 2005. He coached Rwanda in 2014, before returning to India in 2015.
