Brogues get a style makeover

Styles made famous by Scotland and Ireland, oxford and brogue shoes, were traditionally made of leather. While oxfords exuded a formal touch with their plain designs, brogues were characterised by perforations, though styling was minimal. Thankfully, changing times have meant that these humble styles have undergone a trendy, colourful makeover with oodles of creative chutzpah. Why Brogues and Oxfords:
Comfort is one of the most important reasons as to why people opt for it. Also, it best puts across the dressed-down look and they are equally fun. It’s an Attractive street-wear accessory thAt can totally capture the eyes of the fashion-conscious. Printed brogues/oxfords are doing the rounds everywhere. Colour-blocked ones are also popular. It’s possibly the best way to describe casual chic!

Best paired with:
Teaming them up with draped/pleAted pants is passé. To keep the newness alive, one can combine them with maxis or even a shirt dress. This adds an androgynous element to an otherwise regular look.

Style most in vogue:
Brogue-shaped footwear with heels is the lAtest version thAt’s in vogue. Printed leAtherites/suedes are equally popular.
