A cop from Vakola police station was attacked by two siblings after an altercation with an auto rickshaw driver and two bikers, one of whom allegedly molested the sister
After an altercation with an auto driver and two bikers, and assaulting a cop from Vakola police station in an inebriated state, a brother-sister duo, who hail from Manipur, were arrested last Friday.
While the bikers had already fled the spot by the time the copsarrived, the duo alleged that one of the bikers had molested the28-year-old woman. Both were produced in the court and remanded to judicial custody. A molestation case will be filed this week.

The woman is a student while the 48-year-old brother does odd jobs in Mumbai. They also stated that because of their Mongoloid features, they often get teased by passersby.
The incident
Around 11.30 pm on Friday, the duo was drunk when they left their home in Kalina and added the cop who was attacked. A case has been registered against the duo under Section 353 (assault to deter public servant) and Section 332 (causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) and Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).
Advocate Prakash Kuma, who represents the accused, said, “I cannot comment on the proceedings as the matter is sub-judice.” The police are likely to file a molestation case against the unknown biker.u00a0
