The police said Shetty was out of danger but doctors were facing problems in removing the bullet that was lodged in Shetty’s chest. Senior Inspector Harishchandra Vhatkar of Amboli police station said, “The bullet is lodged in Shetty’s body. I don’t know the technicalities of the case but he is now in a stable condition and is able to speak.”

The assailants fired three rounds on Shetty who was travelling in his car in the lane adjacent to a Tansihq showroom near Fame Adlabs in Andheri (West).

According to investigating authorities, one of the bullets brushed against his chest whereas the other was lodged in his chest that was yet to be removed. Shetty underwent a surgery on Saturday and was recuperating at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.

Vhatkar added, “We are working on making sketches, which will be done soon. We are still to receive any breakthroughs in the case.” A source within the police told MiD DAY that Shetty had been questioned but he was uncooperative.

However, speaking to media persons, Shetty claimed that he had no rivalry with anyone. u00a0
