Vijayhind Singh and his watchman Ashok Yadav are currently recuperating in the ICU of MGM Hospital from wounds caused by choppers that robbers used to attack them with
During the early hours of Monday, thieves broke into the house of Vijayhind Singh (55), a resident of sector 24, Juinagar. The break-in happened despite the presence of Singh’s security guard Ashok Yadav (35) at the gate.

At around 2.30 am, the miscreants entered and attacked Yadav who was keeping watch. After disabling him, the robbers went in to ransack the house, and ended up assaulting Singh as well. An officer at the Nerul police station said that the identity of the offenders is still unknown. They have looted Rs 2 lakh in cash and close to Rs 5.8 lakh in valuables from the house.
Both Singh and Yadav were attacked with choppers and were taken to MGM Hospital in Vashi where they were placed in the Intensive Care Unit. According to the medical staff, no close family members were present. Only Singh’s staffers showed up later.
A staff member on condition of anonymity said, “Both are currently in the ICU and are undergoing treatment. We ourselves have no idea what exactly happened. We are quite worried and hope they recover soon.”
An officer at Nerul Police Station said, “So far the two victims are in stable condition and are undergoing surgeries. An FIR has been registered under section 171 of Indian Penal Code and an investigation is on .”u00a0
