The incident occurred at Tivoli Garden in Mehrauli after a Mercedes and a Scorpio brushed against each other

A personal security officer (PSO) of a businessman opened fire in the air to threaten another businessman after his Scorpio car hit their Mercedes. The incident took place at an engagement ceremony in Tivoli Garden in Mehrauli area of south Delhi.u00a0u00a0



The accused PSO, identified as Sachinder Kumar, was arrested by the police and sent to jail. The Mercedes is owned by Subhash Gulati, a resident of Defence Colony area of south Delhi. He owns a shopping mall in Pune.u00a0

"The victim, Pawan Arora, told the cops that it was the engagement ceremony of his son. During the ceremony, he had to go back to his home for some reason. While his driver was reversing the Scorpio, it accidentally hit the Mercedes belonging to Subhash Gulati. The driver of the Mercedes picked up an argument with Pawan's driver and threatened him. Pawan intervened in the matter and in the meantime, Subhash joined the argument. Sachinder, the PSO of Subhash, also joined them and started firing in the air in a bid to frighten Pawan. He fired around three rounds with his licenced 0.32 bore pistol," said a police official.

The added that the incident was reported at around 11.30 pm by Gulati. After listening to both parties and conducting a detailed investigation, police arrested Sachinder Kumar from the spot. He was held under section 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC and section 27 (Arms Act) and was sent to judicial custody.
