Carnatic music concert a hit in Navi Mumbai

The Navi Mumbai Tamil Sangam organised a Carnatic vocal concert at Tamil Sangam Hall, Vashi Sector 9A on July 13. The weekend concert was by Seawoods resident Shobha Ramesh who is a graded artiste of All India Radio (AIR), Mumbai.

The concert was attended by people of all ages. Over a hundred people showed for the recital, which was two hours long.


Ramesh started her concert with Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman’s Charukesi Varnam in Tamil. The singer managed to regale her audience till the end of her concert with the Desh Thillana. She maintained a good tempo, throughout.

After the concert, Ramesh said, “Even tough it was a classical concert people of all ages were present. The concert being classical people got emotional. It was an evening to remember.”u00a0
