Caroline Wozniacki wants to be a hobbit. Here's why...

Danish tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki, who listed the Lord of the Rings as among her favourite movies, wants to visit Hobbiton, the location in Auckland where the film was shot. And her wish may come true in next month's ASB Classic beginning this January 1.

Wozniacki has requested the tournament's organisers to arrange a trip to Matamata, where Hobbiton is located. "I love Auckland. It's an amazing tournament and there are so many things I want to go and see. Hobbiton is definitely one of the things I haven't seen and I would love to see it," Wozniacki told Newstalk ZB's Tony Veitch yesterday. Woniacki is a regular at the tournament having featured on four previous occasions. She's also done some sightseeing around Auckland, including visiting the Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands.

"Tournament director Karl Budge takes great care of us. I'm expecting some big things from him this year. He's been so great showing us around each time," joked  the World No. 3 Dane.
