Fisher plans to sign a contract and return to the Predators before the National Hockey League trade deadline on February 26. Fisher told reporters yesterday, it was his wife who encouraged him to return to the team. "Carrie asked me every few days if I was going to do it. She wanted me to do it [return to the team]. And she’s usually right," he said.
Meanwhile, Carrie tweeted, "This is happening! Fish is back! So proud of you, baby! We want the cup!!!"
After seven years playing for the Nashville Predators, Fisher, 37, retired from playing for the hockey team in August 2017. He joined the team in 2010, and eventually became its captain.
