Castlebridge, trained by Kolkata-based trainer Bharat Singh and to be ridden by Trevor Patel, is expected to assert his class in the Jacqueline Indian 2000 Guineas (G1 1), the prime event of Sunday's nine-race card. Going by the form pointer, there is no horse who can, at least on paper, pose any kind of threat to Castlebride, who is expected to win the feature event with ease.
The betting market may expect Bateleur (A Sandesh up) to follow him home, but I feel Costa Brava (C O'Donoghue up), who made a rather late debut at Pune and broke his maiden in second start, may show dramatic improvement and grab the runner up spot.
First race at 1.30 pm.
