No sooner the news of Centre giving its nod for transfer of Indu Mill land in Mumbai to the Maharashtra Government for constructing Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar's memorial spread, followers of the father of Indian constitution took to the streets yesterday evening to cheer the resolution.
The RPI (A) workers burst firecrackers in the middle of the road (from the chowk near Zilla Parishad to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Garden) and stalled vehicular traffic of about 30 minutes. The activists had gathered at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Garden since 3.30 am, and started the celebrations soon after the announcement was made.
