After Ravindra Jadeja goof-up resulted in Hardik Pandya's run out during India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy final at Oval ground on Sunday, netizens have been throwing brickbats at him.
Many feel that Ravindra Jadeja should have daved Pandya and got out instead as the latter was gaining momentum in a rather miserable match.
Twitterati demand that the unofficial prefix 'Sir' given to Ravindra Jadeja be stripped off. The unofficial Bombay High Court also in good humour declared that the prefix shall be removed from Ravindra Jadeja's name.
Here's what Twitterati had to say...
Ravindra Jadeja you dont deserve to be called Sir now..after that cowardly run out of Hardik Pandya. #IndiaVsPakistanFinal— Ankit (@nkit1904) June 18, 2017
After Rohit Sharma (0), Shikhar Dhawan (21) and Virat Kohli (5) were snuffed out by Amir in a devastating first spell with three brilliant deliveries, the fate of the match was sealed.
Then Hardik Pandya smashed 76 off 43 balls, hit half a dozen of sixes to provide some entertainment, before being run-out due to a horrible mix-up with Jadeja. Pandya was livid but he was only delaying the inevitable.
However, Team India skipper Virat Kohli defended Hardik Pandya saying he was more than satisfied with Hardik Pandya's performance throughout the Champions Trophy. He heaped praise on the all-rounder for his effecient batting, bowling and fielding, during the tournament.
