Cheer on these budding Einsteins

When we attended last year's Western India Science Fair, we were left speechless by the innovative projects on display. From impressive teaching tools by science teachers to a replica of the Shanghai Maglev Train by students from Eklavya Public School in Junagadh, there were interesting exhibits at every turn.

The exhibits were classified according to the state and there was a separate Teacher's Aid enclosure to check out interesting tools to teach science. In its 24th edition, the fair is being organised through a collaboration between the education departments of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The main objective of the event is to generate awareness about science and aid youngsters to interact with teachers and adults. Over a period of four days, 140 students from various states across western India will display innovative models and exhibits.

From: December 8 to 11
At: Nehru Science Centre, Dr E Moses Road, Worli.
