If you are a fan of Russian author Anton Chekhov's stories, you can now enjoy them in Hindi. Swatantra Theatre is staging Zindagi Ke Rang, a combination of five plays that represent the various shades of the human mind, sprinkled with streaks of humour or comedy. "Each story depicts a complex facet of the writer in the play.

The writer's conflict at penning down his experiences as short stories itself is an organic story in the play," states Abhijeet Choudhary, director of the play.

The plays:
Arrangement: A liberal father who takes his son to a red light area and sets up an arrangement with a prostitute, so that he can experience life.
Surgery: An inexperienced compounder tries to convince a patient who is suffering tooth pain to undergo surgery.
Bank Manager: A man suffering from joint pain is approached by a lady and comic situations ensue.
Sneeze: A man who works as a clerk sneezes on his senior. It goes on to describe his state of mind and how the sneeze affects his mental condition in several hilarious ways.
Never Too Late: Set between a widow and a widower, it features a touchy conversation between the two.
