The local lad sent the crowd into a tizzy as he scored a highly unlikely 6-2 6-0 drubbing of much higher ranked World No 98 Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain in the first round of the ATP Aircel Chennai Open yesterday.

Meanwhile, Somdev Devvarman was knocked out by Russian Andrey Rublev 3-6, 6-3, 3-6 in the singles event.
