“All the students were in the playground for the sports period. The boys were having a basketball match. While leaving the ground Dishant suddenly
collapsed. We immediately rushed him to the nearby Shashwat Hospital. But he was declared dead on arrival by the doctors,” said Arpita Karkare, director of Millenium National School.

“Dishant was a very competent student. He was an all-rounder – good at academics as well as sports. He had joined us in kindergarten and was here ever since. The exact cause of death is yet to be disclosed. But prima facie he suffered a massive cardiac arrest,” Karkare told MiD DAY.

Suneel Darekar, senior PI of Warje police station said, “We have not received any complaint regarding the incident. We have registered it as an accidental death.”u00a0
