Striker Cletus Paul played a key role in leading St Anthony's SC (Malwani) to a close 1-0 victory over Castle Boys 'B' in the final of the D'Assisi Ex-students Charitable Association (DECA)-organised Bro A Cyprian Memorial instant football tournament at the St Francis D'Assisi HS ground, IC Colony, Borivali (W).
Earlier in the semi-finals, Cletus Paul stole the thunder by hammering home both the goals as St. Anthony’s blanked Kiran Boys by a 2-0 margin. In the second semis, Castle Boys got the better of Parle Boys 4-1. Sunny Thakur struck a brace while Elton Quadros and Kelvin Rodrigues netted one each for the winners.u00a0Sammy scored for the losers.

The clash for the third place of the Rizvi Champions Trophy inter-College cricket Tournament final saw Ruparel beat Mumbai University champs Podar by 53 runs. Batting first, Ruparel College put up a challenging total of 240 for eight in 45 overs. Sagar More top scored with 52 and Kshitij Karede (46) and Ashutosh Ghagre (44 not out) chipped in with valuable contributions. In reply, Podar could manage only 187 for nine with Abhishek Rajadhyaksha scoring 65. Devrat Singh (Ruparel) picking up three for 33.
