Move over Koffee with Karan. Just heading out for some latte could give you a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan himself. The actor’s office in Khar has rented out its ground floor to an international coffee chain. The space now sports a banner of the chain and is up for renovation. Khan’s office is located on 15th Road between Khar and Santacruz.

According to realty sources, every floor of Khan’s office spreads across an area of nearly 4,000 square feet. While it’s not known what portion of the ground floor has been leased out to the coffee shop, a source from Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainments’ office said, “The ground floor has been given to a coffee shop. However, any official confirmation on the same could be provided only by the CEO of the company, who is travelling at present.”

Realty sources claim that this is the first time that Khan has leased out his office space to an outsider company: “The brand concerned here is an international brand and is known worldwide. It would lift the value of the area.”
While the area leased out to the chain is not known, Prakkash Rohera of Kkarma Realtors, based in Santacruz, said, “The present rate in this area for commercial leasing is nothing less than Rs 400-500 per square foot on carpet per month. It’s a prime location and people will visit it.” Another broker claimed that with Khan’s name attached to the building, the value of the property is already high and calls for a premium.u00a0
