With Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez rumoured to be heading for a split after just nine months of marriage, hitlist takes a look at some Hollywood stars who found love in non-celebs.
Matt Damon
After dating Minnie Driver and Winona Ryder, Matt got lucky. While shooting for Stuck on You (2003) in Miami, he met a beautiful bartender named Luciana Barroso. They fell in love, married in 2005 and have four daughters. One of those few living-happily-ever-after stories to emerge from Hollywood.

Robert De Niro
In 1987, Grace Hightower was working as a hostess at a restaurant in New York. A customer was immediately taken with her and continued to ask her questions. She found him annoying only to find out later that it was Robert De Niro. That was then. They've been married for more than 16 years now.
Reese Witherspoon
After her much-publicised seven-year-long marriage to Ryan Phillippe came to an end, Reese was rumoured to be dating co-star Jake Gyllenhaal for quite some time. It was much later that she met a talent agent named Jim Toth whom she married in 2011. The two are proud parents of a boy named Tennessee.
Denzel Washington
This celebrated actor met then-fellow unknown actress named Pauletta Pearson at a restaurant back in 1977. Struggling actors, they were both working on a TV movie titled Wilma. Thirty four years later, they are still going strong. They later tied the knot in 1983 and have raised four children together.
Julia Roberts
After her first marriage to Lyle Lovett terminated within three years, Julia was reportedly dating a slew of co-stars. And that streak ended on the set of The Mexican (2000). There, she met cameraman Danny Moder. They married each other two years later and the pair has three children together
Vince Vaughn
He dated Jennifer Aniston but it took a lady outside of Hollywood to tame him. Vince reportedly met Canadian real estate agent Kyla Weber in 2008 through mutual friends. He proposed to her on Valentine's Day the following year and the pair wed in 2010. They have a three-year-old daughter.
Patrick Dempsey
The Grey's Anatomy star didn't know that his life was going to change when he walked into a salon for a haircut. But that's exactly what happened when he laid eyes on stylist Jillian Fink. "From that moment, we just started flirting and talking," said Pat, who married her in 1999. They have three kids today.
Nicholas Cage
Never the one to stick to convention, Nicolas (48) met much-younger wife Alice Kim (27) when she was a waitress at an Los Angeles restaurant. Cage had already done the celebrity marriage thing twice — once to Patricia Arquette and again to Lisa Marie Presley — but his marriage to Kim in 2004 has so far stuck.
Eric Bana
Eric won the 'Bachelor of the Year' award from Cleo Magazine in 1996. He also received a free trip to New York. He brought along then-girlfriend Rebecca Gleeson, a publicist, and proposed to her in the Big Apple, officially ending his bachelor reign. The pair married the next year and has two children together.
Ewan McGregor
Despite wooing the likes of Nicole Kidman and Scarlett Johansson on-screen, this Scottish-born actor (40) has long had eyes for one woman: a production designer named Eve Mavrakis (45). The pair met while working on a British TV show and married later that year. Together they have four kids.
Drew Barrymore
This spunky actress has dated many actors in the past but it seems that she'll settle down with someone from out of Tinseltown. Barrymore is engaged to art consultant Will Kopelman. Kopelman proposed to the actress in December 2011 while they were vacationing.
