Party workers break several rules during their anti-BJP motorcycle rally
The opposition Congress Party's motorcycle rally against the BJP-led state government held today allegedly saw traffic rules being broken left, right and centre.
Police sources revealed that they could do little though opposition leader S Siddaramaiah neither had a driving license nor wore a helmet.
The procession tried to enter Vidhana Soudha road, which has been declared out of bounds for rallies and strikes by Commissioner of Police Shankar Bidari but were stopped by the cops on duty there.

Praveen Sood, Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic and security) said he was not aware if Congress party workers had driven without helmets.
"I will ask our officers. If they have violated laws, we will take appropriate action.
The high court has banned rallies and strikes at busy roads, and the commissioner has declared the Vidhan Soudha out of bounds for rallies and strikes. Our officers did the right thing by stopping them."
Siddaramaih refused to comment when this reporter asked him if his party workers had violated traffic norms. "We will continue our rallies against the BJP government," said Siddaramaih before he cut the call.
Commuters on Sheshadri road had a tough time during the rally, especially after it began raining. Mayor S Nataraj was among those stuck in traffic.

"I reached office an hour late. Rallies and strikes pose difficulties for the public," he said.
