The 25-year old son of a police officer in Bihar was recently booked by officials of the rural police for harassing his female friend for the last one month
The suspect was identified as Shyam Kishore Anil Kumar (25). Kumar hails from Muzaffapurnagar in Bihar and works at a private firm in the city.
The complaint was registered by the girl, a student of a city engineering college, after Kumar started harassing her by calling at odd hours. She said Kumar even pestered her for marriage. “The suspect and the girl got acquainted a few months ago as they hail from same state,” Additional SP Vijaykumar Magar said.

Magar said Kumar misinterpreted the girl’s friendly nature. “He threatened her with dire consequences and the harassment reached such an extent that the girl changed her phone number. He then started harassing her at the college, after which she filed a complaint at the Lonavla police station,” Magar said. u00a0
