Officials from Goa police reached Mumbai last morning and directly approached the woman journalist to record her statement at a discreet location.

According to sources from Mumbai police, the investigating team caught a 6.30 am flight and reached the city and met the victim around 10 am.

After taking down her statement, the authorities requested the journalist to come with them to Goa to record her statement in front of the Goa magistrate.

Staying tightlipped on the issue, Mumbai’s Police Commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh said, “We cooperated with the Goa police. I can’t comment any further.”

Sources from Goa police revealed that the girl’s statement was similar to the complaint which she had submitted to her company.
