A Gulf passenger and his family forgot their five-year-old son asleep in the taxi, as they rushed to Dubai airport to catch their flight
Only when they were inside the airport lounge did they realise their blunder. Finding that the cab had already gone, they rushed to the police centre at the airport.
Police used security cameras to identify the cab that had brought the family to the airport and managed to reach the driver within two hours.

“After two hours, the driver returned to the airport.
He said he did not know there was a little kid asleep in the back seat,” said Dubai’s CID chief Major General Khalil Al Mansouri, adding that while they were busy taking the bags from the taxi’s boot and moving into the departure hall with the trolley to finalise their travel procedures, they forgot that their son was left behind in the car.
He said the incident took place a few weeks ago, but he did not identify the family.
