CTL: Mumbai breeze past Punjab despite Paes heroics

However, Paes could not prevent the Punjab team from losing 20-29.

Pranjala stars
Earlier, in women's singles, Mumbai's Pranjala Yadlapalli beat Punjab's Rishika Sunkara 6-5 in the first set of the match.

Pranjala then paired up with Mohit Mayur to register a comfortable 6-2 win over Rishika and Vidit Vaghela in the mixed doubles set.

In the men's doubles event, Tommy Robredo paired up with Sriram Balaji to edge past the Punjab's Leander and Somdev Devvarman 6-3. In the last set, Robredo got the better of Somdev 6-4.
