Mumbai Customs scored a deserving 47-run victory over Union Bank of India (UBI) in a low-scoring Group B league match of the Police Commissioner's Twenty20 Cup at the Police Gymkhana Ground yesterday.
Put in to bat, Customs were bowled out for 138. But, they showed great spirit as their bowlers hit back to dismiss Union Bank for a paltry 91 runs in 15.5 overs.
This was the second successive win for Customs, who had earlier defeated RCF and are now virtually assured of a place in the semi-final.
Brief scores: Group B: Mumbai Customs 138 all out in 20 ovs (S Wagh 37; P Patil 4-24, S Jadhav 3-20) beat UBI 91 all out in 15.5 ovs (S Jadhav 25; J Singh 3-4, S Dubli 2-6). MoM: S Dubli (Customs).
