'Dangal' girls Geeta and Babita Phogat's photoshoot in an 'akhada' breaks even more stereotypes
Geeta and Babita Phogat, the two sisters who have brought glory to India in the wrestling ring, are breaking more norms and stereotypes after doing a fun bridal photoshoot at an akhada. Check it out...

The Phogat family are revelling in all the success of the blockbuster movie 'Dangal', which is based on their life. But the Phogat sisters -- Geeta and Babita -- aren't going to let all the fame, adulation and being the centres of attention get in their way of winning a medal for India at the next Olympics.
The duo have already started their preparations. But recently they took a break from their training for an interesting photoshoot that will once again break some stereotypes. The sisters stepped into New Delhi's Guru Shyam Lal Akhada in some bridal attire for a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar Bride. The duo were all decked up in bridal couture and jewellery. The two thus proved that women wrestlers do dress up. They broke the glass ceiling in the male-dominated sport of wrestling and now the idea that athletes, no mater which gender, like dressing up.
Journalist Deepak Ansuia took a few stunning shots of the two and the duo have left every one who has seen the pictures flat on the mat.
Geeta, who tied the knot with fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar in a grand ceremony in November, and Babita look resplendent in red with the googles to add the right amount of swag as they owned the akhada with a bunch of male wrestlers looking on.
Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari rock the ethnic look.
The newly married Geeta was also captured with hubby Pawan.
With this photoshoot, the two sisters have once again proved that they rule the akhada.
Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari totally own the akhada and the boys behind will agree.
'Dangal' is the life story of Geeta -- the first female wrestler to represent India at the Olympics and win India's first-ever gold medal in wrestling at the 2010 Commonwealth Games -- her sister Babita and their father-cum-coach Mahavir Singh Phogat.
'Dangal', which stars Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, has already earned over Rs 100 crore.
