Daniel Radcliffe listening to heavy metal for new horror role
'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe is preparing for his new horror role in 'Horns' by listening to heavy metal music.
The 23-year-old actor, who shot to fame as the endearing bespectacled boy wizard, is embracing his inner darkness in the new role which is much different from the ones he has played so far.
And rock music is helping him unleash the demon within, reported Sun online. "I'm listening to a lot of metal and allowing that slightly demonic rock 'n' roll spirit out. There's nothing else like it," said Radcliffe.
The film is directed by Alexandre Aja, famous for his horror films, and is based on the hit novel by Joe Hill. It follows a young flawed man named Ig Perrish (Radcliffe) who wakes to find horns sprouting from his temples after his girlfriend mysteriously dies, with Ig accused of her violent rape and murder.
