West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy and wife Cathy were blessed with a son, their third child yesterday

West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy and wife Cathy were blessed with a son, their third child yesterday. The proud father posted the above picture on Twitter with the message: "Xzavier Reign Sammy... King was born today at 12:09am. 10lbs 4oz. Mummy is also doing well. Giving thanks to The Most High for his Blessings.

The December-borns rock theory probably comes from the fact that Sammy too was born in the last month of the year (Dec 20, 1983) and went on to lead the Windies to the World T20 titles in 2012 and 2016. Sammy also has a son, Darren Dan Sammy Jr and daughter, Skai.
