England football great David Beckham's wife Victoria admitted that she has given up the habit of paying heed to criticism. "I have grown up in public since I was 19. My days of worrying about what people think have been left behind," Victoria, who was part of the Spice Girls, told Vogue magazine yesterday.

She admitted she's always been aware that her history as a pop star could have crushed her ambitions of being a fashion designer. "I was always aware that people would have previous conceptions of my brand just because I was part of the Spice Girls and for being married to a soccer player. That's why it was so important the product spoke for itself. And it did, from the beginning," she said.

Despite fan pressure, Victoria has resisted calls for her to reunite with her former bandmates. "I'm still talking to all the Spice Girls and I'm very proud of what we achieved together. I love the Spice Girls' music and I think I'll always like it," Victoria, who has sons Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 12, and six-year-old daughter Harper, explained.
