Australia received a blow yesterday ahead of the one-day series against West Indies when left-handed opening batsman David Warner was ruled out of the first two matches with a thumb fracture.
The injury happened when he was struck on the hand by a delivery from Mitchell Johnson during a nets session at the WACA.
Usman Khawaja will come in as a replacement for the opening two games, with Warner’s place on Australia’s Test tour of India now in some doubt.u00a0
