DDLJ's dream run

DDLJ has completed its marathon run of 14 years in Maratha Mandir and doesn't seem like it's going to make an exit any time soon. We might call the plot predictable and the Kajol's costumes hideous, but that doesn't deter us from watching the film, yet another time.

Here are some facts you might not have known about your favourite flick:u00a0

>>u00a0Earning over Rs 580 million in India and Rs 175 million overseas, the film became the biggest Bollywood hit of 1995 as well as one of the biggest Bollywood hits of all time.

>>u00a0In the film, Karan Johar plays a small role as SRK's friend. He also assisted Aditya Chopra in direction. Mandira Bedi also made her movie debut in DDLJ.

>>u00a0The film won 10 Filmfare Awards in 1996.

>>u00a0Director Aditya Chopra was only 24 when he made the film.

>>u00a0Remember Kajol's reaction when SRK drops her at the end of 'Rukh Jaa O Dil Deewane'? Well it was very genuine, because director Aditya Chopra didn't tell her that it was a part of the dance sequence.

>>u00a0Saif turned down the role of Raj Malhotra. Hard luck, Saif!

>>u00a0There is one scene in the movie where SRK is trying to fool Kajol into believing that she slept with him. The crew spent an eternity shooting it because everytime SRK would unbutton his shirt, Kajol would start giggling. And apparently, she took on the job of making lipstick marks on SRK's chest.
