The widespread notion is that T20 is a youngster's game.

Debut for Praveen Tambe at 41

But Praveen Tambe may not agree. He became the oldest cricketer to make his debut at lucrative T20 league at 41 years and 211 days, when he took the field for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Daredevils yesterday.

He has played local tournaments for Shivaji Park Gymkhana Club, Orient Shipping before finally settling down at DY Patil nine years ago. He was always ignored due to the abundance of resources Mumbai had in the spin department. However, his consistent exploits with bat and ball in local tournaments made the selectors ignore the age factor. He made his debut for Mumbai earlier this year in Vijay Hazare Trophy. u00a0
