Tannishtha Chatterjee will be sharing screen space with B-Town’s latest much-in-demand actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in National Award winner director Mangesh Hadawale’s forthcoming film. As the film is set in Rajasthan, the actress had a tough time shooting in the desert.

A unit source says, “Shooting barefoot for a scene with flocks of sheep who were infected by ticks posed a health hazard. Her feet were swollen and red because of the bites. Nawazuddin, too, was affected. The locals present at the shoot advised her to apply salt and turmeric on the wounds. A doctor was summoned who prescribed medications and also had to administer shots as a precautionary measure.”

Adds the source, “Tannishtha screamed like a child seeing the injection. She is terrified of jabs and Nawaz had to convince her to take it. The crew was scared and didn’t realise the health hazards because of the infection and then took utmost care while shooting.”u00a0
