MS Dhoni satisfied with team's fielding, but feels fast bowlers still need to improve despite 5-0 win over England

With spinners playing havoc, India completed a 5-0 whitewash defeating a hapless England by 95 runs in the final ODI at the Eden Gardens yesterday. The hosts posted a challenging 271-8, thanks to skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 75 off 69 balls. Then, led by Ravindra Jadeja (4-33), India bundled out the visitors for 176 with 13 overs were to spare. R Ashwin bagged three wickets while Manoj Tiwary, Varun Aaron and Suresh Raina scalped one apiece.

India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was satisfied with the show but urged his fast bowlers to improve. "As far the series was concerned it was satisfying. To some extent, it was a very ugly-looking wicket. It was very difficult to score runs," Dhoni said.

"In fielding department, we have really improved but fast bowlers still need to improve and put in a bit more effort. At times, we find them nagging on the speed," Dhoni added.

The captain however, got a surprise this morning when wife Sakshi landed in Kolkata accompanied by Dhoni's sister. "It was really a surprise for me as she had no plans to come here," Dhoni told MiD DAY.

Wishing a happy Diwali to all the MiD DAY readers, Dhoni said he would visit home town Ranchi to celebrate the festival with the family. "Last four years I have been out of Ranchi, so I want to stay there for a couple of days before coming back to Kolkata for the one-off T20 fixture," the skipper added. The T20 match is on Saturday.
