As part of her association with the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI), Dia Mirza is set to give the country its first 'Wild Anthem' on August 12. Launching the track as part of a Gaj Mahotsav event in Delhi from August 12-15, Mirza has joint hands with WTI to produce the number under her production house, Born Free Entertainment.

Mere Desh Ki Zameen sees Bollywood's brightest musicians — including Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Benny Dayal, Vishal Dadlani and Clinton Cerejo — come together for the number, written by CBFC chief Prasoon Joshi, and composed by Cerejo.

The actor tells mid-day that creating an anthem for India's wildlife was a dream she harboured for long. "This would celebrate all that is incredible about our land. I hope that parents and children help take the message of our anthem forward and join us in our effort to keep India, wild forever."

A source from WTI tells mid-day, "The Gaj Yatra is the biggest event planned around India's national heritage animal — the Asian elephant. WTI and Dia are working towards protecting elephant corridors in the country. It's important to note that our ecosystem can still support both human and animal population in the world simultaneously."
