Dianna Agron talks about Glee and her next

She's famous as the blond cheerleader from Glee. As Quin Fabray, we have watched Dianna Agron sing and dance on the small screen. Now she's all set to star in a thriller I am Number Four directed by D.J.

Caruso that releases world over on February 18. Reports are that she's also engaged to her film's co-star Alex Pettyfer. Here's a quick conversation with her...

What's your role in I Am Number Four?
I play the role of Sarah in the film. I actually came to read very late in the process of casting but DJ said I completely knocked him out when he saw me read for Sarah's character that is how I got the role. Sarah is basically an outsider just like Alex, and even though she's beautiful and at one time was popular, she made some decisions that made her not popular in the school anymore. I was immediately taken with the script.
I loved my character as Sarah. There are a lot of similarities to how I was in school. I love photography and I really started getting into it during high school, taking photos for the yearbook.

What kind of research did you do for it?
Well I believe in doing little homework before any of my projects, so I read up a lot about the book and got to know about the people involved in the project.

DJ took me to Pittsburg and showed me each and every place that we were going to shoot, and that helped me a lot because we were shooting in a non-linear format. We also had workshops and readings together with the whole team of I Am Number Four; that not only helped me understand my character better but also what each character stood for and their dynamics with each other.

Were you apprehensive as it's a male dominated film?
I actually did not even realise it. I was so taken over by the script, I absolutely loved it and it was so honest. It completely enchanted me and all I kept thinking was that it was important for me to be a part of this project. All these things don't bother me that much. I loved my character in it, I enjoyed working with everyone. my experience doing the stunts was amazing, so it's all that matters.

Do you plan to do more films?
Yes, definitely ufffd my experience with the director, producers and the actors has been a very important ride into my memory. Everyone was amazing on the sets and that really makes me want to do more and more films. Guess I am waiting for good scripts to come my way and then the rest will be known... (laughs)

How do you balance between Glee and Movies?
(laughs) ufffd well it is a double-edged sword, because when people know you from a project like Glee sometimes they might not be as open minded as to other characters you might play because they have seen you as this one character fro a while and loved you in it. At the same time, it opens so many doors to people that you have met and people can make an assessment of your work, your characters, perhaps your abilities. It also happens most of the time that if you are playing a mean character then people only want to see you in the same roles or vice versa, or if you are playing a blonde they can't quite picture you if you were to play a brunette.

Are you dating Alex? Any plans of marriage?
I am too young to think about marriage at this stage of my life and career. Also at this point I don't want to talk about my personal life.... I understand why people are interested about this but I'd like to politely say that I don't wish to talk about it... But professionally Alex is a great co-star to work with. He is talented, professional and extremely energetic.
