At the DVD launch of The Lunchbox, mediapersons were busy taking soundbytes from Irrfan. But when some of them saw that Nawazuddin Siddiqui was about to leave the venue, they rushed towards him. This, in turn, miffed Irrfan, who immediately left the venue.

It seems that Nawazuddin was shooting in Pune for Sriram Raghavan’s film, Badlapur, and he had come straight from Pune to the event, which is why he was late. A source says, “When Nawazuddin walked in, the media started clicking his pictures even though some interactions with other actors were still on.”

An onlooker adds that mediapersons were taking bytes from Irrfan when they saw that Nawazuddin was about to leave. “Seeing this, they rushed towards him but this rankled Irrfan and he left from the venue.”

Irrfan and Nawazuddin are said to be rivals and the buzz has it that they don’t get along with each other. Nawazuddin denies any knowledge about this. “I don’t know who left and what else happened when I was leaving,” he says. On the other hand, Irrfan says, “No, this is not true. We were at the event right till the end.”
